Rob is an Adjunct Professor at Philadelphia University and teaches the Masters of Science in Sustainable Design, High Performance Systems course.  He has a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering degree from The Pennsylvania State University.  He is a licensed professional engineer in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, a member of ASHRAE and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

In his spare time, Rob loves to hang out with his family, walk his dog, Jake, and eat pulled-pork sandwiches.

Shannon Kaplan, PE, LC, LEED AP
Specializations: electrical systems, lighting, renewable energy, commissioning

Shannon Kaplan specializes in the design and analysis of high performance electrical systems for buildings with an emphasis on ultra low-energy lighting systems, daylight harvesting and on-site renewable energy.  For the past few years she has worked almost exclusively on high-performance buildings and LEED projects. Shannon works with clients, building owners and building occupants to help them find ways to optimize energy usage in buildings and has helped buildings achieve additional energy savings through programs involving occupant education and plug load policies.  She has lectured extensively on sustainable design and high performance buildings including the AIA Philadelphia Chapter Design on the Delaware Conference and the Spring Suburban Conference.

Ms. Kaplan is a Professional Engineer licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a Lighting Certified Professional and a LEED Accredited Professional.  She is an Adjunct Professor at Philadelphia University and teaches the Masters of Science in Sustainable Design, High Performance Systems course.  Ms. Kaplan attended The Pennsylvania State University where she earned a Bachelors of Architectural Engineering and a Masters of Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Illuminating Engineering.

Shannon also doubles as an elite level rower for the Vesper Boat Club on boathouse row.  She enjoys cat herding when at home and can often be found at work in business attire and sneakers.

Aaron Dahlstrom, PE, LEED AP
Specializations: mechanical systems, energy modeling

Aaron Dahlstrom specializes in sustainable design and high performance mechanical systems for green buildings with an emphasis on geothermal systems and energy modeling. He is a Professional Engineer licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  Mr. Dahlstrom is an Adjunct Professor at Philadelphia University and has lectured there on Energy Modeling for High Performance Buildings.  He is a LEED Accredited Professional and has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Messiah College.

Aaron speaks Spanish and aspires to section-hike the Appalachian Trail.

George Trapp
Specializations: HVAC controls, commissioning

George Trapp has over 30 years experience in the design, field testing, commissioning and operating of critical, high performance mechanical systems.  He has a special emphasis on the design of building control systems and the utilization of building control systems in the commissioning process.  His experience includes projects in healthcare, pharmaceutical and laboratory buildings as well as extensive experience in commissioning of LEED projects.  He has led commission teams for the ten building PECO LEED-EB initiative and the LEED-NC Gold rated Dansko Headquarters building in West Grove, PA.  He is a member of the Building Commissioning Association.

When not actively taking part in hands-on commissioning activities, George is likely to be found hunting or fishing with his sons.
Robert Garcia, LEED AP
Specializations: mechanical systems, building analysis modeling, CFD modeling

Robert Garcia specializes in the design and analysis of high performance mechanical systems for green buildings with an emphasis on energy modeling and computational fluid dynamics.  He is an expert at building analysis and has analyzed passive and active ventilation systems using the Airpak CFD program.  He has extensive experience in energy modeling including completion of the energy model for the 1,000,000 square foot Capital Health Replacement Hospital project in Hopewell Township, NJ.  Mr. Garcia is a graduate of Virginia Tech and holds a Bachelor and Masters of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He is a LEED Accredited Professional and has passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) Examination.
